Health & Safety
Health & Safety Policy
Blueseal operates a comprehensive Health & Safety management system aligned with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. All operatives receive site-specific induction training and ongoing H&S briefings.
Risk Assessment Framework
Dynamic and static risk assessments are completed for all contracted works and reactive call-outs. Risk assessments are reviewed regularly and updated following any near-miss or incident.
COSHH Management
All cleaning products and maintenance materials used by Blueseal are COSHH-assessed. Material Safety Data Sheets are maintained on-site. Operatives receive COSHH awareness training as part of their induction.
PPE Policy
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is provided to all operatives for each task type. PPE provision is reviewed as part of risk assessment and is mandatory where identified.
Accident Reporting & Investigation
All accidents, incidents, and near-misses are recorded and investigated. RIDDOR reportable incidents are reported to the Health and Safety Executive within the required timeframes.

Environmental Policy
Blueseal is committed to minimising its environmental footprint. We seek to use environmentally responsible cleaning products, minimise waste, and reduce vehicle emissions where possible.
Waste Management
All waste generated during cleaning and maintenance activities is handled in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Hazardous waste is segregated and disposed of by licensed carriers.
Product Selection
Where operationally feasible, we select biodegradable and eco-certified cleaning products. We work with clients to transition to greener product ranges where appropriate.
Data Protection
GDPR Compliance
Blueseal is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and operates in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Data Retention
Client and employee data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, in accordance with our data retention schedule.
Subject Access Requests
Data subjects may request access to personal data held about them at any time. Requests should be submitted to info@the-bluegroup.com and will be processed within 30 days.
Employment Standards
DBS Checking
DBS checks are available for all operatives working in sensitive environments including healthcare, education, and residential premises.
Right to Work
Blueseal verifies the right to work in the United Kingdom for all employees and subcontractors prior to engagement.
